You recently had a great experience talking to your hair stylist about your service. How did that conversation start?
Kitty: I was sitting in her chair and she asked what I did for a living. My answer was laundry. She was very surprised by that...people are always intrigued by that response. “Other people’s laundry?” she asked. I proudly told that is exactly what I do.
How did you respond?
Kitty: I took the opportunity to tell her more about Laundry Care service and what makes it unique. Then I gave her my business card and a rack card, and told her how to sign up for service.
Did she sign-up for service afterward?
Kitty: Yes, she even gave out a rack card to each of her clients. When, I picked up today she asked for more rack cards. She said people were thrilled to hear about Laundry Care and interested in learning more online or signing up for service.
How did you become so comfortable and confident talking about Laundry Care to potential clients?
Kitty: I really love talking about Laundry Care and what we do. I truly believe in it! It makes it much more comfortable and easy to tell people about my service… and it is a great way to create buzz. Making it part of everyday conversation is key! Really, working it into your day-to-day interactions is how you do it.
Do you have any other tips?
Kitty: Yes! Keep a stack of rack cards in your car for exactly this situation. I even have a couple in my purse, just in case. I also have plenty of business cards ready to hand out as well.
