A business is only as good as a client’s experience. If you do not meet a high standard, clients may seek out the competition the next time a need arises. Delivering consistent results is the key to getting referrals, positive reviews and repeat business.
How can you ensure you’re consistently providing your clients with exceptional service? Before you drop off a client’s laundry, it's a good idea to make sure it’s D.O.N.E. using the following series of questions!

'D' is for DRY & TIDY Are all items completely dry? Items should be dry before being folded or bagged. If any air-dry items remain damp, place them neatly and loosely in a separate bag. Be sure to communicate this to the client ASAP. Are items free of visible wrinkles? Items should be mostly free of dryer wrinkles. If stubborn wrinkles remain, contact the client to ask if they would like any of the items pressed for an added fee.
'O' is for ORGANIZED Are items organized by type? Stack pants together, t-shirts together, undies together, etc. Look at it from the client's perspective: How would you like items organized? Are items grouped by family member? If possible try to group items according to who they belong to. For example, kids items with other kid items, adult clothing with adult clothing. Think about how you can make it easy for the client to put away. Are folded items stacked carefully? Start with big items on the bottom of the bag and stack from biggest to smallest. Make sure the bag can stand on it's own without falling over.
'N' is for NEAT Are items folded neatly and ready for the client to put away? Use a consistent folding method so items are similar in size. Smooth fabric while folding to secure folds and keep items unwrinkled. Are folded items stacked and bagged neatly? Take a look at the bag of folded items. Items should be flat as possible and not squeezed or overcrowded. Are hanging items hung securely on hangers? Do your best to make sure hanging items stay on hangers during transport and arrive intact.
'E' is for EVERYTHING BAGGED Are folded items snug in a clear bag? Before tying or sealing the bag, press any extra air out to keep items in place during transport. Are the client's nylon bag(s) included with their folded items? Fold nylon bags and place them inside the bag of folded clothes. Are hanging items completely covered with a garment bag? Hanging items should be completely covered and protected from dirt, dust and rain.
