It's easy to assume that clients remember their scheduled laundry pickups and drop offs. This is a dangerous assumption to make! You can avoid the hassle and headaches of missed pickups and drop offs by confirming scheduled stops with clients beforehand.
It's a good practice to confirm every pickup and drop off with clients the day before they are scheduled. Confirmations can include the scheduled day, as well as time-frame, AND request to reply or respond.
”Hello [client's name], Just reminding you about your scheduled laundry pickup tomorrow, [specific day of the week] between [X time -Y time]. Please reply YES to confirm. Thank you, [Your Name] from Laundry Care”
Want To Make the Most of Confirmations? Here's How....
Confirm the time-frame and location of EACH and EVERY pickup with your clients the day before their scheduled pickup.
Use the client’s preferred form of communication to confirm their scheduled pick-up.
Be consistent with your confirmations. Put them on your calendar, set a reminder, do whatever works for you to keep a consistent confirmation routine.
Keep records of your communication and confirmations. Text and emails are great for this. If their preferred method is by phone call, record the day and time you called in case a discrepancy arises.
Ask clients if they have any questions.
Arrive within the scheduled time-frame. If you find yourself delayed, let the client know as soon as possible.
