Oftentimes, clients have items that require special processing or items that need to be dry cleaned. Encourage your clients to separate and note any items needing to be hand or delicately washed, air-dried, treated for specific stains, pre-soaked or any other particular preferences they may have that apply only to certain items.
NYLON BAGS FAQ
WHO gets our bags?
Laundry Care Bags should only be given to clients that receive service on a regular or as needed frequency. One-time use clients should put their items in 13-gallon kitchen trash bags before you arrive for pickup AND should NOT receive any nylon bags.
During the scheduling conversation with new clients, let the client know they should place their items in 13-gallon kitchen trash bags before you arrive for a more efficient pickup. This will help both you and the client prepare ahead of time. Consider having a few extra 13-gallon kitchen trash bags in the car while you're on your route...just in case.
HOW MANY bags do I give them?
You’ll have to ask new clients and use your judgment. It’s important to note that clients often have more laundry on their first pickup than they would on a regular basis. They let it pile up..which is likely why they signed up for service. Give them the number of bag(s) they’ll fill on a regular basis.
HOW do I get more bags?
It's best to have at least 5 nylon bags in stock for new clients. Keep track of how many you have and plan ahead to purchase more. Nylon bag orders may take 5-7 days to arrive, so it's always a smart idea to order more BEFORE you run out completely.
"NEW and ONE TIME USE clients can use 13-gallon trash bags to bag items for their first pick-up."
The majority of clients are charged a flat rate per bag of laundry. This differs greatly from other laundry companies who primarily charge clients a per pound rate.
Because of this distinction, it's important to understand and be able to explain the bag size/capacity clearly and instruct clients how to note their items which require any special processing.
LAUNDRY CARE BAGS
Our standard nylon bag generally holds 2-3 average sized loads, depending on how items are sorted.
The bag’s capacity is the same size as a white, 13-gallon, kitchen garbage bag. This is how the Laundry Care bag is described to clients to help them get a sense of how many bags they will need.
NEW and ONE TIME USE clients can use 13-gallon trash bags to bag items for their first pick-up. Clients that choose any regular pick-up frequency (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) will be charged an additional $3.92 per nylon bag on their first invoice and should be provided it upon drop off.
